SPE Elite Camp offers a unique football camp experience for aspiring college prospects primarily for high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors. The emphasis here is on developing the student-athlete in preparation for the recruitment process. While the combines offer a platform for the student-athlete to showcase and enhance his abilities on the field and in the training room, academics are also stressed.

           

In 2014, special guests included current San Diego Charger defensive back Alden Darby, former Florida State Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback (and 11-year NBA veteran) Charlie Ward as well as former Dallas Cowboy defensive back Kareem Larrimore. 

 

SPE Elite Camp will feature skilled instructors and football minds whose ultimate goal is to prepare the next generation of student-athletes for the rigors of college football and the scholastic demands of higher education. Learning life skills is just as important as memorizing the playbook in today’s college athletic programs and SPE (Speed, Power, Exposure) strives to develop the whole student-athlete.

           

Florida, Texas and California have long been considered hotbeds for college football talent. As reported by Bleacher Report’s Tyler Donohue, these three states consistently produce the most college prospects, year-in, year-out. The order may change from year-to-year, but these three states are where college football recruiters flock to, so SPE has chosen to focus on them as well.

           

While many prospective college football players wait until their senior year to fully immerse themselves in the demands of the recruiting process, SPECombines specialize on reaching underclassmen. We provide these young athletes with the acumen for success at the most formative stage, instilling in them the values and skills necessary to achieve at the highest level. Proper preparation is the key to top performance and SPE strives to harness and cultivate all the tools necessary for a student-athlete to excel on the field, in the classroom and in the recruitment journey.
